Shakespeare in the Libraries
In celebration of Shakespeare's 400 year death anniversary in 2016, Phenix Arts partnered with the National Library to bring some of the most famous pieces of Shakespeare's works to the average Singaporean. The cast and director, Krissy Jesudason, created a patch work of monologues, scenes and songs that created a moving tapestry of of Shakespeare's "Greatest Hits" and performed them in libraries around Singapore. Our mission was to reach people from all walks of life and give them the opportunity to see Shakespeare performed without having to pay for a costly ticket.
